Scandinavian Biogas is a world leader in optimizing the production of biogas at wastewater treatment plants, ethanol and biodiesel plants, landfills and from other large streams of organic waste. Based on patented technology and end-to-end expertise in the biogas process, Scandinavian Biogas can increase production by a factor of 3-5 times in an existing wastewater digester volume. In wastewater plants in developing countries, where the current yields are low, the production can increase by a factor 10 or more.

Scandinavian Biogas’ main business model is to own, fully or in part, the production sites, operate them and act as seller of the energy.

The company was founded in 2005 and is based in Sweden.  In March 2008, Scandinavian Biogas had 30 employees and orders worth EUR100-150M.
